Here's a picture of Weird Alice, the turkey that lived on the east side until she had an unfortunate run in with a car.
Even though she's gone she will be missed. I can't say that she was a pretty bird. In fact, as turkeys go, she was sort of ugly but she did have lovely feathers. Those of us who were used to seeing her several times a week still look for her from time to time. Some even choose to believe that perhaps she found her own "weird Al" and flew off together to make ugly little babies together.
So here's to you, Weird Alice......wherever you may be may you rest in peace. It sure beats resting in gravy and cranberry sauce.
